Got denied because they say I waited too long to see a doctor

I'm hoping someone here can tell me if I have any chance of getting this decision overturned because I feel like I'm being punished for trying to be a good employee. I hurt my shoulder at work about three months ago, but I didn't go to the doctor right away because I thought it was just a strain that would work itself out. I kept working, kept lifting, kept doing my job because that's what you do, right? You push through and you don't complain. But after a few weeks it wasn't getting any better, actually it was getting worse, so I finally went to my doctor and he sent me for an MRI that showed a pretty significant rotator cuff tear. I filed my claim and the insurance company denied it because they said I waited too long to report it and they can't prove it happened at work. I have coworkers who saw me wincing and favoring that arm for weeks, I told my supervisor about it when I finally decided to go to the doctor, but none of that seems to matter to them. I've been looking for a workers comp appeal lawyer Rosendale because I know I have the right to fight this, but I'm also wondering if it's even worth it. Has anyone here actually won an appeal when the insurance company denied based on delayed reporting? I feel like I'm being punished for not running to the doctor the second I felt something, but I was just trying to do my job and not make a big deal out of what I thought was a minor thing. Any advice or stories from people who've been through this would really help me figure out my next move.
