Joanne! I have this one on my list. I like that they are a Christian, francophone, homeschool family created program. Can't get more authentic than that. They are supporters of Wycliffe Bible Translators - speaking to the quality and mission of their materials. I also appreciate that so much of it is oral. http://www.theeasyfrench.com/ Wendy
Hi Joanne. There is a free language program available through the London public library called "Mango languages" that is very good for learning the basics of verbal language. It is available online through their main site. Depending on the language, there are a few options to try within this system.
They also have kits like this one "Michel Thomas speak Spanish. Get started kit [compact disc]" that I find helpful for spoken language.
Sounds like the beginning of an exciting adventure.
Which formal language curriculum has anyone used? What did you think of it? How old were the people who used it. (I am not talking about greek, arabic or latin). The purpose would be to be able to speak this language (not necessarily write or read although that would be OK). I am putting together a loose plan for teaching a destination specific language to support a mission trip we may embark on in a few years.
I have only heard about Rosette Stone and would like to also have feedback about them if you have any.
