I don't know any more info than what is posted on the site for KW.
The info on the OCHEC conference is not 'out' yet. I did inquire with OCHEC (Ancaster) and I received an email from OCHEC saying:
All of the information you requested is just now being finalized and the promotional materials are being printed.
More information will be available in both paper and electronic format very soon.
Last year as prep for starting homeschool, Harold and I both went to both the KW and the OCHEC conferences and it was very good for us. I can't emphasize highly enough the value of us going together - we did not attend the same seminars (we made a plan ahead of time to divide and conquer), but just being there together and chatting & eating lunch with other couples was very good for us as (homeschool) parents. I learned loads at the first one and set a boundary for myself that I wouldn't buy anything until the OCHEC conference a month later. That time was used for planning, research and budgeting - lol. OCHEC has 'bigger' speakers and even a teen program. It's more expensive but last year had a very cheap rate for people who were first time attenders AND spouses were free.
Thanks for the offer of a ride Farmingmama- that would be so much fun! I will need to wait until we get closer. If Harold comes with me I will likely need to drive so we are back for chores.
I would really like to go to this, thanks for posting this Joanne. Do any of you go? I'd be more than willing to drive and anyone is welcome to carpool with me!
I just received this notice by email. FYI: The OCHEC one is May 3-4 with details coming soon.
