One of our kids favourite books ever is The Sword in the Tree! I think we have read it 3-4 times in the past couple of years. Our kids are 9-girl, 7 & 7- boys, 5-boy. Thanks for the recommendation of a couple of his other books!
The kids have been enjoying this author. So far, they've have read Sword in a Tree, The Paint Brush Kid and The Chalk Box Kid. The latest review was: "Even though it is not a christian book, it's a great adventure". Reading level approx gr 3-5ish. Our daughter in gr 1 was begging to hear more of the Sword In A Tree (which our gr 3 son was reading with me as recommended by TruthQuest History- Middle Ages). Our daughter in gr 5 read the other 2 books in 4 days total.
