CHRISTMAS CD-RECORDING DATES

I am really looking forward to recording all the song contributions.

Just a brief reminder that the time is creeping up. I would like to set the deadline as November 14th. I know this isn't much time but I believe you can do it! I will need time to tweak/edit any little glitches.

It is much like the real world of recording. The rule of thumb to remember is 'Time is money'! you need to be well prepared, knowing your song inside and out and have all the harmonies in place with who is singing what, and when etc. (Just to let you know there will be no charge for this project :) ).

A few hints : know your words so you can sing it in your sleep!

dont oversing on the day of recording

A quick simple warm-up for the vocal chords is :   pretend you are a frog! and croak like one. the kids love this :).  Another good one is :  make a very whiny MEOW sound opening as wide as possible and then bringing the lips together in a pout on 'OW'. Also make like an alley cat snarling at a dog! these warm-ups are fun and easy and really work!

These exercises are 'focusing the vocal folds' meaning the sounds create the vibrations needed for a clearer sound. We should never strain or stress our voice with forced loud singing that is breathy as you can do permanent damage.

I need to know ASAP when you can come in so I can co-ordinate. Please email me with your date and I will provide you with my address :
