Joanne we have this movie on dvd. I've watched it but just can no longer watch it as I cry so much. I've also read the book.

I will never forget how she mentions in her book about the day she came face to face with one of the German guards who was at the prison camps. She met up with this guard one day and he had extended his hand to her to shake it, she had difficulty reaching out her hand as she knew in herself she could not forgive him but the Lord in her could. Truly only the Lord in us can forgive, we in ourselves, in our own human strength cannot.

You can read the full account here: http://brokenbelievers.com/2013/03/04/the-school-of-forgiving-corrie-ten-boom/

Corrie Ten Boom was quite a wonderful woman and her faith in the Lord continued to be unwavering as she continued to encourage many after she was released from prison camp.

Joanne I also just finished reading: "In The Presence Of My Enemies" a book written by Merrill Burnham  of when her and her husband (Martin) were taken hostage by "Abu Sayyaf" terrorist group in the Philippines. They were American Missionaries in the Philippines but were on their Wedding Anniversary vacation when taken hostage. They spent a year in captivity.

Quote on the back says: "Can faith, hope, and love survive A Year of Terror?"

This book brought me to tears and made me realize even greater the need to pray for those on the Mission Field, those who are under heavy persecution all over the world. We simply cannot comprehend what they are going through.

If you would like to borrow the book you are welcome to.

Also do you have the dvd: "Case for A Creator" by Lee Strobel? You can also watch him on You Tube as well as some of his other dvd's.

Thank you for sharing all the different books, videos, etc... on this site.

This is an audiobook (drama) that is great for those kids who are looking for something 'older' than Adventures in Odyssey or Jonathan Park. I personally enjoyed it very much myself and recently as our oldest (12) was asking about the war and Anne Frank, I gave this to her to listen to (not with younger siblings).  It takes place in the 2nd world war and includes hiding Jews and a look at life in a concentration camp.  Lots of discussions resulted from this. Here are lots of other opinions on it:  http://www.christianbook.com/hiding-focus-family-radio-theatre-audiodrama/corrie-ten-boom/9781589975132/pd/75136?item_code=WW&netp_id=475145&event=ESRCN&view=details
