It's nice to know I'm not the only one who thinks this way! smile

Sherry, we already asked!  You have to be 16 to work there, so it'll be a little while yet ;)

Today we went to the "Bibles For Missions" Thrift Store in St.Thomas and I noticed they had several homeschooling books for anyone looking for any. Have yet to go to the one in Hyde Park, I'd like to see if they carry some homeschooling books as well.

We did notice they are very pricey with other items, it seems several thrift stores have increased their prices, although the Salvation Army across from Argyle Mall is pretty good in their prices.

That's interesting that it's volunteer run... It may provide some interesting family ministry opportunities or volunteering experience for older children? Just a thought!  I'm always looking for creative and supportive ways to introduce our kids to real life. smile

I just heard about this and I am very excited too! I'm told that all the 'staff' is volunteer which results in low operating expenses. All the profits go to buy bibles for other countries. I love it!

I just wanted to let everyone know that there will be a "Bibles For Missions" Thrift Store  ready to open in October on Hyde Park Rd here in London Ontario.

You can check out this link for the address and telephone number:

http://www.yellowpages.ca/bus/Ontario/London/Bibles-For-Mission-Thirft-Stores/8033312.html

We have often visited the "Bibles For Missions"Thrift Store in St.Thomas and I've often been able to find a few homeschooling books as well as many other resourceful books to use. They also have several shelves set up like a library filled with Christian books in alphabetical order which I sooo appreciate when I'm searching for a book.

Great place to bring any books you no longer have need of if you are unable to pass them on to other families.

Can't wait to visit there.
