Hey! This is my first visit to your blog! We are a team of volunteers and starting a new initiative in a community in the same niche. Your blog provided us valuable information to work on. You have done a outstanding job! bk8 nl
I understand regarding not "putting kids faces on line", this was they still remain anonymous. Let us know how the book turned out once you've been able to read it.
It's our solar panel box - an expensive box that is still being used!!!!! I'm not crazy about putting kids faces on line - yet anyways! Now the box is a house in the basement! The above book speaks of evolution as how the world started. We are a strong 6 days of creation family. (We love Answers In Genesis and have been to the Creation Museum twice!). But the Truthquest History Program sites this book as a reference and a veteran homeschool mom recommended this to me. I want to read it for the middle ages and so my reading would start at chapter 39. As a read aloud I could sensor things (or have them as a great topic of conversation). My understanding is that he is a very good writer and kids get drawn in (which may be a reason not to use it). I'm interested to know if the evolution angle is apparent throughout the book. I have it on order from another library, but it is taking an incredibly long time to get here - either that or I am impatient! I'm interested in other's opinions about it too.
P.S. Joanne I just realized that your children were in this box, I was viewing it as closer to the ground and thought it was filled with toys rather than realizing your children were in it, how cute. Funny isn't it how children love to play in boxes, you can give them all kinds of toys etc... but give them a big box and their off to another world in it. Thank you for sharing this wonderful picture in your photo.
Has anyone used this book? I know creation is an issue, but what about the rest of the book? Has anyone used this with their history program? Would you recommend it or did you burn it? Why?
